Hi Maryse, thanks for your discussion. You mean of course Paljor Norbu: http://www.hrw.org/en/news/2008/12/05/an 81-year-old man and printer of traditional Tibetan Buddhist texts, who was sentenced to 7 years in prison. Read Human Rights Watch's press release calling for international action on his behalf. The unjust sentencing of Paljor Norbu, and so many other Tibetans, is part of China's intensifying crackdown against the Tibetan people's basic human rights.
Today many people will celebrate the 60 anniversary day of the Human Right Declaration
worldwide - whereever they are. We can stand up with people all over the world who want to make human rights a reality for Chinese, Tibetans and for everyone.
thank you for such an informative reply, I will read up more, and explain the meaning of human rights to some of the Japanese junior High school students.
